Welcome to our March Wrap Up! This was one of those months where nothing really happened for the first half of March, and then suddenly EVERYTHING happened. (Including midterms.) So today we’re going to share with you all the fun and exciting bookish things that happened to us in March!
Books Read:
Malka:
I somehow managed to read 11 books this month. Not quite sure how. Well, if you look at the books I’ve read it’s kind of obvious. Short books, children’s books, and graphic novels are my jam!
But seriously, after finishing A Princess in Theory at the very beginning of the month, there was a 10 day gap in which I didn’t finish anything and was convinced there would only be 3 books in this wrap up. I’m glad it didn’t end up as I feared!
Some things about the books I read this month. First off, I finally finished Because You Love to Hate Me! It was the oldest book on my shelves, and it took me 3 months to finish it, but I did it! I also finally started reading the books that people have been recommending or praising in their posts. I read Brave Enough because of Olivia, and I’m SO glad I did! It was amazing and I was able to speed through it, which has become a rare thing recently. I also picked up Wicked and the Wallflower because of Stacee which I also really enjoyed. I just don’t handle drama well.
Also, you may notice I managed to read the Bride Test even though just a few days ago I made a post where I mentioned that it was my most anticipated book of the year and I COULD NOT WAIT. Well, to find out how I managed to get my hands on a copy, read on!

So I don’t really know what is up with time recently but everything seems to be moving so quickly but so fast at the same time? We’re writing this wrap-up and I feel like we wrote February’s wrap-up yesterday, but at the same time, I feel like I read half the books I read this month ages ago.
This month was really divided in two for me. The first half of the month I managed to read quite a bit, but about halfway through I just hit a slump and stopped reading. Since I have weekends off, I was able to catch up a bit reading wise, leaving me with 23 books read this month.

Books Acquired:
Malka:
I was super proud of myself for not having bought a single book this month. (Not technically true, but if the package hasn’t arrived yet, it doesn’t count.) Thankfully, I got approved for two NetGalley books so this section wasn’t totally empty. I’m VERY happy to have been approved for The Silence Between Us because it sounds like something I’ll love!
But then something even better occurred!
The day I posted my blog post, 5 Things I Like Seeing In a Romance, which was in actuality a blog post about how much I love The Kiss Quotient and how much I was anticipating The Bride Test, something VERY EXCITING HAPPENED.
I checked Edelweiss, even though I had already been declined for The Bride Test, and I saw the impossible! THE BRIDE TEST WAS AVAILABLE FOR ME TO DOWNLOAD! As you saw in the earlier section, I’ve already read and loved it and and I’m currently trying to gather my thoughts enough to form a coherent review.

I don’t really know what happened this month, because I never get approved for anything on NetGalley. Like seriously, before this month I had only gotten approved for two books before, both of which really weren’t great. But apparently this month the gods of NetGalley smiled down on me because I got approved for so many amazing books that I’ve been looking forward to!

Things We Did:
We went to the Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief off-broadway musical! It was a really fun time! The show was hilarious and faithful to the book, and the actors’ voices were AMAZING! If you have the chance to catch the show as it travels around the US, we’d highly recommend going for a fun time!
Blog Accomplishments:
This month we reached 100 blog followers! We know that it’s not so big compared to other blogs, but it really means so much to us that there are so many people our there (over 100!!) who read or have come across our blog. Thank you! ❤️
Coincidentally, we also reached our 100th post on Instagram this month, so I guess you could say that this was a month of 100th.
We also got the exciting opportunity through our Instagram to be Uppercase reps! We’re super excited to get our first box in April!
Posts We Loved:

And that’s it for the Month of March! Have you read any of the books we did? What exciting things happened to you in March?
Congrats on getting The Bride Test! I know lots of people have been eagerly awaiting that one. I want to read it too, but I haven’t been posting reviews for adult novels on the blog anymore, so I didn’t request an ARC. Looking forward to it, though! And The Lightning Thief musical sounds fantastic! I’ll have to keep my eye out for that one.

Thank you! I was in a state of shock and disbelief for 24 hours which is why I didn’t shout excitedly about it sooner. And the musical was AMAZING! The comedic timing was perfection! I hope you get a chance to see it!

I’m so glad you recommended it! It dealt with so many topics so well! It was a breeze to read and exactly what I needed at the moment. Thank you! 💕
And we’re still not quite sure how NetGalley works in terms of how and why they approve people, but we’re very excited to read all the books that we haven’t already immediately devoured!
And the Lightning Thief was so lighthearted and fun! I hope it comes somewhere nearby and you’re able to go!
I hope you have a wonderful April as well!

I saw The Lightning Thief off-broadway years ago, and I thought it was brilliant. I am really excited about The Bride Test, and Rec, White & Royal Blue. I am so happy these were solid reads for you.

The Lightning Thief was so great! It was so funny, and not at all what I was expecting. Red White and Royal Blue such a good read, I hope you enjoy it!

Though I get approved for most books at Netgalley that I request I’m really bummed that I didn’t get approved for an upcoming book by a favorite author. They’ve approved me for her 3 or 4 books so I’m not sure why they declined this time. Unless they don’t like my reviews. Anywho. It looks like you had a good month. Check out my wrap up (plus there’s a giveaway ending this week) at Girl Who Reads

It’s wonderful that you’re able to get most of the books you want from NetGalley, but it always is a bummer to have to wait if you get declined. This month was pretty great. I hope you had a lovely month as well!

I just read The Kiss Quotient in March and loved it so much so I’m eager to read The Bride Test. We Are The Ants is one of my favorite books. I hope midterms went smoothly.

We Are the Ants was so good! I picked it up randomly at the bookstore, so I was surprised that I ended up enjoying it as much as I did 😁

Your March was awesome for books! Congrats on new followers too! I love reading and sharing about books (my family doesn’t read!). They prefer TV and movies and video games, even though I read to them every day, took them to the library every week, and even held a summer Harry Potter series reading marathon where I read from beginning to the end to my kids.

That sounds so fun! Summer reading marathons are the best. I love what Barnes and Noble does in the summer for kids, where if they list a few books they read that summer they get a free book to choose from. I love how it encourages reading!

Yes! I totally agree. Our local library does a similar thing where kids and adults can earn a free book. Every year we complete the challenge.
